Gravity

Gravity is the field guide for product communities—a quarterly print and digital magazine from Orbit that explores the theory and practice of building and scaling product communities.‍


Each issue of Gravity focuses on a specific theme. The primary goal: provide valuable information through long-form articles, interviews with experts, and other thoughtful content.

Orbit conceived the idea for the magazine, and I built the back-end infrastructure to support its creation, including multiple databases in Notion for coordinating contributors (writers and illustrators), supporting an editorial workflow, finding, vetting and hiring vendors, and performing line edits on all written articles for both the print and digital versions. I also served as editor-in-chief of the magazine. Orbit’s in-house creative director created the cover designs for both issues (and for the first issue, all the interior illustrations).

Due to popular demand, the first issue had three print runs, and the second issue published in August 2022.
