I have been a professional writer since the early days of the web in 1999, and have also worked as an editor for a few well-known websites, as well as an independent publishing house.
Here are a selection of my clips regarding design and technology. (Pre-2010 clips are offline, and available by request.)

As a developmental editor at A Book Apart from 2022-2024, I partnered with authors to shape and refine their manuscripts, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a strong narrative voice across each title. I also provided strategic editorial feedback and collaborated with the editorial team to maintain the publisher’s high standards for thoughtful, accessible tech and design content.
Here are two books I worked on while I was there:
I served as a contributing editor from 2010-2012 for 10,000 Words, a site that explores the intersection of journalism and technology and design. It was acquired by Mediabistro, and then later AdWeek.

From 2017-2020, I served in a content marketing role at Glitch creating B2B and B2C case studies, zines, and other materials.

I created a print and online magazine called Gravity while I worked at Orbit from 2021-2022. Along with leading the company through naming the magazine, I also served as editor-in-chief and edited all content. As EIC, I wrote “Mission Control”, a column from me that introduced each issue’s theme.
I contributed a poignant essay (PDF) in 2014 for tech outlet Model View Culture about my experience with building the Black Weblog Awards.
In 2015, I served as the head writer of Restaurateur HQ, a content vertical from Site5 geared towards restaurant owners.

In 2012, I wrote for BuildMobile, a vertical of SitePoint focused on reviews of mobile apps. SitePoint later brought the BuildMobile articles into their general site archives.
